Santanyí
The historic centre of Santanyí was founded in 1300 under the ordinances of King Jaume II. The Porta Murada, a 16th-century gate tower, and the parish church of Sant Andreu, built of Santanyí stone from 1786 over 25 years, define the town. The townhouses Olivo 1, Olivo 2 and Olivo 3 are for sale in Santanyí.

Buying or renting: what applies
Under Decree-law 4/2025 of 11 April 2025, no new tourist places may be created in multi-family buildings anywhere in the Balearic Islands; penalties can reach €500,000. Whether a property in Santanyí, Campos or Ses Salines holds a valid rental licence needs to be verified case by case. Campos Hills carries the licence in its own listing title; for other properties, buyers are advised to have the licence checked by local legal counsel before completing a purchase.
Questions and answers
What villas are available in Cala d'Or?
In Cala d'Or itself, Casa Roel overlooks the bay and has a pool, sea views and sea access. Within a short drive are Finca Can Vica and Sa Taulera in S'Alqueria Blanca, Campos Hills in Campos and Villa Eden Roc near Ses Salines, 5 houses in all.
Where is the best place to stay in Cala d'Or?
That depends on what a stay is for. Cala d'Or lies directly on the coast, with its marina and sandy coves, while S'Alqueria Blanca and the historic centre of Santanyí sit further inland, closer to the Wednesday and Saturday markets. Casa Roel places guests on the coast; the fincas inland trade the sea for space and quiet.
Are there villas with a private pool in Cala d'Or?
Yes, all 5 properties Unisono offers in the area have their own pool, and three also have sea views. The exact configuration, including bedroom count and guest capacity, is listed on each property's own page.
Is Cala d'Or or Alcúdia better for a villa holiday?
The two areas differ mainly in location and character rather than one being better than the other. Santanyí's coves range from Cala Santanyí, developed from the 1960s, to the working fishing harbour of Cala Figuera; Alcúdia lies in the north-east, with its own historic walled town and marina. Which suits a stay better depends on the itinerary.

Bedroom counts range from 4 to 6 across the villas and fincas Unisono offers in the area, with capacity for up to 12 guests. The exact layout for each property is listed on its own page.
