The natural harbour of Port d'Andratx is ringed by coves including Cala Llamp, Cala Moragues and Cala d'Egos. Golf de Andratx in Camp de Mar is an 18-hole course, four of them par 5; the operator gives 2000 as the year it opened. In the harbour, Marina Port Andratx has 547 berths for boats up to 30 metres and held the Blue Flag for marinas in 2026; the concession for the marina facilities passed in February 2026 from the Club de Vela Puerto de Andratx, founded in 1968, to the new Marina Port Andratx.
Offshore lies the nature park of the island of sa Dragonera, protected since 1995 and covering 275 hectares. Andratx also sits in the south-west of the Serra de Tramuntana, whose cultural landscape has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2011; the municipality is one of 20 members of the Serra de Tramuntana World Heritage consortium.
Areas of Andratx
Puerto de Andratx
The harbour town has grown up around the natural harbour, the Marina Port Andratx and the berths of the Club de Vela, founded in 1968. In the evenings, fishermen sell their catch at the Llotja on the quay. Most of Unisono's villas sit here, among them Villa Marivent, The Yellow Castle and Villa Kerida.
Cala Llamp
Cala Llamp is one of the coves around the natural harbour of Port d'Andratx. Villa Llamp is for sale here, a villa with 690 m² of living space on a 1,038 m² plot and five bathrooms, close to the neighbouring coves of Cala Moragues and Cala d'Egos.
Camp de Mar
Camp de Mar is a small resort on the Andratx coast; its centre took shape in the 1980s, though its first hotel dates back to 1932. Off the beach lies the islet of s'Illeta, reached by a wooden footbridge. Finca Cala en Cranc is for sale here, with 390 m² of living space on a 2,201 m² plot.
Andratx
The inland town that shares its name with the municipality has housed the town hall in the Castell de Son Mas since 1998. Its weekly market runs on Wednesdays from 8.30 am to 2 pm. Two Unisono properties sit within the town: Finca Sierra, with 301 m² of living space, and Seldwyla, a plot with an approved building project.
Life in Puerto de Andratx and Andratx
Weekly markets shape daily life: Mondays from 9 am to 2 pm in Port d'Andratx, Wednesdays in Andratx and Saturdays in s'Arracó, each running until 2 pm. At the harbour itself, fishermen sell their catch at the Llotja in the evenings, and the town's heritage includes the Sant Carles defence tower on sa Mola and the church of Nostra Senyora del Carme.
Culture reaches beyond the harbour: the CCA Andratx art centre in Sa Coma is about a 30-minute drive from Palma and hosts four international artists a month through its artist-in-residence programme. Golfers can reach several courses in the area from here; read more in our guide to Mallorca's best golf courses.
West of the harbour lies Sant Elm, formerly known as la Palomera; the fleet of King James I anchored there in 1229 before landing at Santa Ponça. Above the village lies La Trapa, where monks built a monastery around 1810 and which is now a nature reserve, with the nature park on the island of sa Dragonera just offshore.
Buying or renting out: what applies
Since Decree-Law 4/2025, no new holiday-letting registrations are possible anywhere in the Balearics for flats in multi-family buildings, except semi-detached and terraced houses. Detached villas and fincas need a zone where letting is permitted and letting places, which are currently allocated only on a limited basis in Mallorca; details are in our holiday rental licence guide. The PIAT tourism zoning plan for Mallorca also applies to Andratx and was definitively approved on 9 July 2020. The licence position needs checking for each property individually; this text is not legal advice.
