Areas of Alcúdia
Alcanada
Alcanada takes its name from the small island just offshore, whose lighthouse has been in operation since 15 May 1861. Next to it lies the 18-hole course of Club de Golf Alcanada, opened in 2003 and designed by Robert Trent Jones Jr..
Mal Pas and Bonaire
Mal Pas and Bonaire sit on the Bay of Pollença, home to Marina de Bonaire, which offers 333 berths for boats up to 16 metres. Between Pollença and Alcúdia lies the 211-hectare s'Albufereta nature reserve, declared in 2001.
Port d'Alcúdia
Port d'Alcúdia is the town's harbour district, with a commercial dock, a fishing quay and the Alcudiamar marina, which offers 745 berths. A market is held here on Friday mornings, and the restaurant Maca de Castro holds a star in the Michelin Guide Spain 2026.
Old Town
The old town is still enclosed by walls whose construction began in 1298 under King Jaume II; two gates survive, Porta del Moll and Porta de Sant Sebastià. It was declared a historic-artistic site in 1963, and Alcúdia was granted the title "Ciutat Fidelíssima" in 1523. Life in Alcúdia
Two weekly markets shape the routine: Tuesday and Sunday mornings in the old town, Friday mornings in Port d'Alcúdia. April brings the Fira Nàutica i de la Sípia at the harbour, and the first weekend of October the Fira d'Alcúdia in the old town. Golfers can reach Club de Golf Alcanada, one of Mallorca's golf courses, within the municipality: 18 holes, opened in 2003. History here goes back to Roman times: Pollentia was founded in 123 BC, with surviving remains of a residential quarter, forum and theatre. The private Hospital Juaneda in Playa de Muro, open around the clock, adds to the public healthcare on offer.

The town council puts Alcúdia 50 kilometres from Palma. Taxis and hire cars are available right outside the airport terminal. By public transport the journey has two stages: a bus of about 20 minutes to Plaça d'Espanya in Palma, then a bus to Alcúdia from the station 300 metres away.
