This private, family-owned establishment stretches across 156 hectares of verdant fields with an 18 whole course. If you forgot your gear by any chance, San Gual also has its own equipment shop where you can treat yourself to new caps, balls and clothing by brands such as Bogner, Sportalm, Girls Golf Daily Sports and Abacus. This privileged members club also has an elegant restaurant that overlooks the seductive scenery and specializes in artfully-prepared Mediterranean dishes. Club de Golf Alcanada

Designed by the same virtuoso architect responsible for the Capitol Hill and Spyglass hill golf courses, Robert Trent Jones Jr, Club de Golf Alcanada is an interesting place to see even if you’re not a divot digging aficionado. Stretched across a dreamy terrain that overlooks the azure indescribable of the largest Balearic island, this golf course was established in 2003 and was recently revamped further with a makeover in 2019. It occupies almost 6500 meters of beautiful Mallorcan land and offers a first class experience for pasture field lovers in Alcudia. Club de Golf Alcanada is a majestic 18-hole golf course that never fails to amaze even the most discerning of visitors, both because of its exceptional scenery, with views of the Alcudia lighthouse gleaming in the distance. After a taxing match, players can indulge in flavoursome Serrano ham, garlic shrimp and other typical Spanish dishes at the club’s restaurant that deserves a chapter of its own, or treat themselves to some new equipment at the chic bodega shop, located in a charming building that dates back to the 17th century. Golf Son Muntaner

Home to the oldest millenary olive tree in Spain, this 18th hole golf course is an intriguing example of superb landscape architecture that deserves all the attention it gets. Founded in 2000, Golf Son Muntaner attracts both golfing enthusiasts and professionals and features the largest putting green in Mallorca. In 2016, new grass varieties were seeded on the course, including the Bermuda celebration on fairways and Agrostis V8 on extended greens. Not only is this course gorgeous, but is very eco-conscious: in its last makeover, the water expenditure was made more efficient and less artificial chemicals are now used to maintain the course which awarded Golf Son Muntaner an EMAS certification, the highest EU distinction for environmental management. Keep in mind that in the practice and pitching areas, as well as in the driving field, restaurant and shop, a strict dress code is implemented which forbids the use of jeans, flip flops, sleeveless shirts and such. Golf Maioris

One of the latest additions to the extensive list of Mallorcan golf courses is the glamorous Llucmajor 18 hole pasture pool that gathers the most elite golfers from all over the world. Just a 15 minute drive from the island’s capital, the dreamy Golf Maioris offers everything you can expect from an ultra swanky medal play spot. Here, you can roam around the viridescent 6,300 meters of land and absorb the awe-inspiring scenery, made perfect by Romeo Sala and Diete Cabus who collaborated to create one of the chicest sites in Spain. Each hole is characterized by a distinct look - start at the merciful par-4, protected by three sand traps, continue to the unique-looking 2nd hole, where you’ll see an unexpected cluster of pine trees, and continue to the 4th hole with an unusual green island. When you reach the 13th hole, you’ll be rewarded with breathtaking views of the turquoise seas. Later, you can relax in the 2200 meter club house villa, get some retail therapy at the luxurious shop, or wine and dine in the stylish restaurant. The prices are pretty reasonable for the level of quality the course provides, so it's an excellent choice for larger groups and events.

Golf Son Vida

The golf course with the oldest tradition in Mallorca, Son Vida opened in 1964 and has since become an iconic spot where the most legendary players have practiced their swing, and still continue to do so. It is most famous for hosting two European Tour events respectively, one in 1990 and one in 1994, when Severiano Ballesteros made his unforgettable win at the 5 par. The clubhouse was renovated in 2001 by Kurt Rossknecht, who made sure to add a modern touch, but stay faithful to the original design, while the highly regarded architect made the course even more challenging for players. If the 18 hole hunt leaves you hungry, head to the ritzy restaurant to pair the finest Balearic wines to gourmand dishes such as cod gratin with all-i-oli or orange roast pork knuckle with cardamom and juniper.

Golf Son Quint

If you’d like to practice your swing while enjoying a breathtaking view of Palma, head to this modern 18 hole golf course that was established just recently in 2007, making it the youngest of all its Mallorcan counterparts. Less challenging than Son Vida, it is the perfect place to ge introduced to the sport or when you’re trying to get back into shape. At the 8th hole, you’ll see La Seu from far away, while at the 12th hole, you’ll be faced with overcoming a beautiful frontal lake. Son Quint is also a great pick for an impromptu golfing day without preparation, since it has the most casual dress code of all the golf courses on the list. Stay for an early dinner toenjoy impeccably prepared dishes, or head to one of the hip restaurants in the capital.
